Hiking: You must have's!?
My husband and I are going to Sedona this weekend during a sightseeing trip. I wonder what things good to put in a hiking bag? The first team of scientists for bites of snakes, scorpions, spiders, etc? I know about water and nutrition bars, etc. I'm more worried about a first aid kit.
Honestly, I always pay attention to where you go and stay on established trails, the possibilities bits that you are rather slim. If you feel you need to bring a package of snakebite, here 1: General Hiking http://www.preparedness.com/extractor.html for first aid kit, try here: http://www.preparedness.com/admedkittrav.html or Check these out: http://www.preparedness. com / The firstaidkits.html I more important to ensure safety is to know your limits and be aware of their surroundings. Avoid having the first aid kit to start with and in great shape. Moreover, with just the kit is useless unless you know what is inside and knows how to use it. Familiarize yourself with your car before leaving. It may take a few minutes anyway. A reminder of some bits. You You said that you already know about water (1 gallon per person per day) and food (snacks, etc.) but do not forget a map and compass (and how to use them), and it hurts me to never let anyone know the plan ur day (s). Perhaps an emergency poncho in the bag just in case. They are small and light, so should not be a big problem for subject matter in consultation with the local ranger or even store outdoor facilities for the latest information on conditions track and other solid ideas they may have. Go through a checklist to make sure you have everything you need / want. Here is one REI is pretty good. Set to your needs.
